Book Club November

Most of us have by now probably seen the Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet film adaptation of our November Book. We’re happy to report that seeing the movie does not ruin the experience of reading the book. We like to think that the film has given us the ability to clearly imagine the story now that we’re reading it (Thank you, Greta Gerwig!).

Alcott’s most celebrated novel parallels her own life story, in which she, as a female author, was constantly told what to write. This novel is a must read for any woman. It reminds us of how valuable life and love are in all of their possible forms.

As the holiday season approaches, it’s nice to slow down and remember the importance of family and love. Let’s step into the late 1800s with the March sisters, together.

November:

Little Women

by Louisa May Alcott

This classic novel centers around the four March sisters and their unconditional love for one another, despite how different their personal journeys towards happiness may be.

For when: You want something simple, yet incredible soul touching.

(Warning: might make you question true love.)

Can I watch the movie instead? Yes! The most recent adaptation from Greta Gerwig is not only beautiful but an incredible interpretation of the novel.
