2020 Self Care

Let’s be honest, we’ve all had a stressful past couple of months.

We’re here to remind you to take care of yourself, even if it’s just the little things.

1. Get some fresh air

Sometimes all that we need to re-center ourselves is some time with nature. Take a drive with the windows down or go for a leisurely walk. Set up a picnic with some friends or read a book outside. Need a new book?

Check out the LK book club! This month’s book is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.

2. Do some online shopping

Invest in some chic loungewear so that even when you’re alone at home, you feel confident and cute – Shop our silk cowl neck top for an effortless and comfortable look. Or, order yourself some new face masks, since, let’s face it, we’ll probably be needing them for a while.

3. Grab yourself some flowers

On your next trip to the grocery store, stop by the floral department and grab a bouquet, or some flowers to arrange at home. Not only is the action or arranging therapeutic, but every time you pass by your fresh flowers, your mood will lift a little.

4. Set aside time without electronics

Whether it’s just ten minutes while you drink your morning coffee, or an hour of reading before bed, time away from screens can significantly decrease your daily stress levels.

5. Exercise

Take a run or follow a YouTube yoga tutorial. Even if you’re not an athletic person typically, getting up and moving every once and while helps take you out of any funks you may be in. Or, turn up the Lizzo and throw yourself a dance party to pick up those endorphins!

6. Facetime a friend

It’s easy to feel isolated right now, it’s always good to remind yourself of the people who care for you.

It’s always important to go easy on yourself and put your needs first.

You’re human: you’ll make mistakes and you’ll feel emotions (even the bad ones). So, be nice to yourself. Treat yourself like you treat your best friend on her birthday.

Buy the dress, sleep in late, eat the cake. It’s your life – live it well.
